Frank
S. Yuan - Chairman/C.E.O.
Mr. Yuan has over 25 years of experiences in the apparel, trade show, banking,
insurance and real estate industries. Mr. Yuan founded Cyber Merchant Exchange
("C-Me") in 1996, the height of the Internet boom, to create a convenient
B2B web portal to assist apparel off-price retailers, to purchase stock lot
goods overseas. C-Me successfully IPO in 1999. In 2003 and 2004, C-Me was
rated in Forbes magazine as one of the last surviving B2B internet companies.
In 2003 and 2005, C-Me was also honored by Deloitte & Touché as the fifth
and third fastest growing company in California and the 101st and 50th fastest
in the nation respectively. A natural spin-off of C-Me, Mr. Yuan produces
the ASAP Global Sourcing Show, OCTBB ticker symbol ASHI.OB, as a tangible
platform for the U.S. apparel industry to locate overseas manufacturers. Prior
to C-Me, Mr. Yuan established Frenchy's, a retail clothing chain, as well
as two Men's clothing lines, Knights of Round Table and Uniform Code. The
annual volume of the respective clothing lines grew over US $100 Million per
year. Mr. Yuan is the co-founder of Western Cities Title Insurance, Serv-American
National Title Insurance, United National Bank and Ever trust Bank and serves
as Chairman of the Board for J.J.J. USA Inc., a leading waste management company
in China, and Uni-Fortune Real Estate Development Corp. in Los Angles. Mr.
Yuan received his B.A. degree in Economics from Fu Jen Catholic University
in Taiwan and M.B.A. from Utah State University.
James L. Vandeberg - Director
James L. Vandeberg brings more than 30 years of Corporate Counsel and Secretary
experience to ASAP Show, Inc. He has significant experience advising both
Internet and retail companies on securities, financings, mergers and acquisitions,
and general corporate matters, including IPOs, SEC compliance, and investor
relations issues. Currently, he is a partner of the Seattle based law firm
of The OTTO Law Group. His retail experience includes 14 years as Corporate
Counsel and Secretary at the former Carter Hawley Hale Stores, the multi-billion
dollar department and specialty holding company which operated under the names:
The Broadway, Neiman Marcus, Contempo Casuals, Emporium, Weinstock's, Bergdorf
Goodman, Holt Renfrew - Canada, Waldenbooks, John Wanamaker, Thalhimers, and
Sunset House. Vandeberg received his B.A. in accounting from the University
of Washington and his J.D. from New YorK University.
Charles Rice - Director
Charles Rice is a former senior buyer for Sears & Montgomery Ward, has more
than 30 years of international apparel buying experience, working for both
Sears and Wards. He brings extensive lists of long established contacts with
both retailers and manufacturers to ASAP Show, Inc.'s board. Rice holds a
B.S. in business and economics from the University of Delaware.
Deborah Shamaley - Director
Deborah Shamaley, a chain store and apparel-jobbing entrepreneur, has 20 years
of retail and wholesale apparel experience. Ms. Shamaley co-founded The Apparel
Group (“TAG”). TAG imported and sold women's apparel wholesale to more than
1,800 retailers, including Nordstrom's, J.C. Penney's, Sears, and Burlington
Coat Factory. TAG also owned and operated a 23 apparel store-chain under the
name $11.99 Puff. Ms. Shamaley sold the company in 1996. Currently, Ms. Shamaley
is an active franchise partner of a full service 25 location Italian Restaurant
Chain called “Johnny Carino’s Country Italian”. Since 1995, Ms. Shamaley has
also been involved as an owner in Shamaley Ford car dealership one of the
largest in El Paso, Texas.
Alvin S. Mirman - Director
Alvin S. Mirman was
founder, chief operating officer, President and Chairman of US Capital Partners,
Inc from 2002 until January of 2006. Previously, he founded First Level Capital
in 1998 where he was chief operating officer and Chairman until the firm merged
with vFinance in 2001. Since the merger, he has been FinOp and research director
for vFinance is licensed Series 3, 4, 7, 24, 27 and 65. From May 1997 until
August 1998, Mr. Mirman was a partner at Grady & Hatch where he served
as Vice President and CFO. At Commonwealth Associates, he was Director of
Research, and member of both the Executive and Commitment Committees from
August 1994 until June 1997. From 1987 to 1994, Mr. Mirman at Gruntal &
Company specialized in the telecommunications industry. Prior to that time,
from 1983 through 1987, he was a Vice President at E.F. Hutton. Mr. Mirman
was the host of a nationwide TV show, “Wall Street Today” where
he interviewed top management about their companies. Mr. Mirman is widely
quoted in various publications including the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg
Financial, CNBC and Forbes. He has been a member of the New York Society of
Securities Analysts for the past 30 years.
